What Service Does My Car Need?

A full service is our comprehensive annual service for petrol and diesel cars. It includes an oil and filter change, fluid top-ups and a thorough inspection of key components such as brakes, tyres, steering, suspension and lights, all carried out in line with your manufacturer's standards to help protect your warranty.

An electric service is designed specifically for EVs. Electric cars don't need oil changes, but brakes, tyres, suspension, cooling systems and cabin filters still need regular checks. EVs are also heavier than most petrol or diesel cars, which can mean tyres and suspension wear faster.

How Often Should You Service Your Car?

Most cars should be serviced once every 12 months or every 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. This is a general guideline that suits the majority of vehicles on UK roads.

If you drive high mileage, you may reach 12,000 miles well before the year is up, so book your service by mileage rather than waiting for the anniversary. Lots of short journeys, towing or carrying heavy loads also put extra strain on your car, making it even more important to stay on schedule.

Electric cars can have different service intervals, so check your manufacturer's schedule or vehicle handbook.
